Inter-faith goodwill night in JB on May 12

JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian Consultative Council of Bud-dhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism is hosting a Goodwill Night to celebrate 50 years of unity between the communities of different faiths in Malaysia on May 12.

It will be held at M Suites Hotel Johor Baru.

The event is also to raise funds for the the Spastic Chil-dren’s Association of Johor, Ru-mah Berkat Acheh, in Indo-nesia and the Rumah Berkat here.

Highlights of the night include an Indian traditional dance by the Hindu Sangam Johor Baru and a drama by the Sathya Sai Baba Centres of Johor Baru.

Tourism and Environment Committee chairman Freddie Long is expected to attend the occasion.
