Robert Priddy And NitwitNastik

Robert Priddy And NitwitNastik

In the never-ending hypocrisy that altogether exemplifies the Anti-Sai movement, Robert Priddy and an anonymous person using the name "Nitwit Nastik" (or "NitwitNastik") have joined forces in a crusade for rationality, skepticism, science, agnosticism and Anti-Sai activism!

First Things First: Defining "Nitwit Nastik":
Nitwit: Noun: A stupid or silly person. (Reference)
Nastik: Can refer to "Nastika", Indian philosophical schools and persons that do not accept the authority of the Vedas as supreme. "Nastika" is often translated as "atheist". (Reference)

Consequently, "Nitwit Nastik" literally means "a stupid or silly atheist". How apropos! NitwitNastik defines himself as an "amateur agnostic", belongs to an online group of Indian Atheists, is entirely anonymous, has a rather queer propensity to slur and malign people belonging to the faith of Islam, is an admirer of the defamer and conspiracy theorist Robert Priddy and is an admirer of the foul-mouthed George Carlin (Ref).

Nitwit Nastik’s Anonymous Status Called Into Question:
Robert Priddy viciously attacked Pro-Sai activists when they desired to maintain anonymity and called them (Ref):

  • "cowardly creatures hiding under a stone"

  • "cowardly and cheap slanderers"

  • "chicken-livered"

  • "below contempt for the whole world of decent people out here"

It is "pitiful" that Nitwit Nastik cannot live up to Robert Priddy's standards and does not have "the courage to stand forth like a man" and divulge his true identity.

This is yet another perfect example of Robert Priddy's laughable hypocrisy in which he demands full names from Pro-Sai Activists, yet makes no demands for full names from Anti-Sai Activists. Robert Priddy was also caught posting anonymously on QuickTopic using the names "bandbox" and "Lisa demoniser" (Ref). Robert Priddy is a brazen deceiver and an obvious phony who can't back up his precept with practice.

Nitwit Nastik And True Believer Robert Priddy:
Nitwitnastik exclusively references links to atheistic and skeptical material on his wordpress blog. Amusingly, Nitwit Nastik also linked to Robert Priddy's Anti-Sai-Baba blog because he apparently was duped into thinking that Robert Priddy is actually a skeptic who promotes scientific thought! Well, Nitwit Nastik is in for a rude awakening.

Although Robert Priddy attempts to con the general public into thinking he is entirely given to scientific reasoning, he is actually a true believer and a fierce defender, promoter, endorser, solicitor and friend of various self-professed psychics, trance mediums, reiki healers, guru wannabees, superstitionists, eccentric spiritualists, astrologers (including his own son, Kai Nicolai Priddy, who is heavily into astrology and is the webmaster for AbacusAstrology.co.uk) and other "lunatic fringe" Baba bashers.

Robert Priddy promotes, endorses and/or professes friendship with:

  1. Trance Channeler & Self-Proclaimed Prophet Conny Larsson

  2. Guru Promoter, UFO Conspiracist & True Believer PhD Timothy Conway

  3. New Age Advocate & Reincarnator Alan Kazlev

  4. Self-Proclaimed Spiritual Master ‘Ramana Baba’

  5. Ramtha Devotee Ullrich Zimmermann

  6. Fetishist & Hare Krsna Congregational Member Sanjay Dadlani

  7. Reiki Master And Spiritual Healer Yaman Konuralp

As a matter of fact, when Robert Priddy attempts to defend himself against Joe Moreno (a Pro-Sai Activist) he directs his readers to either:

  1. Psychic Trance Medium Conny Larsson's website (located at saibabaexpose.com)

  2. Reincarnator, New Age Advocate and Grungy Integral Philosopher Alan Kazlev's website (located at kheper.net)

How's that for "scientific" or "rational"? Robert Priddy is obviously a very gullible and naive "true believer" who is willing to give credence to non-scientific beliefs by claiming that trance mediums, self-proclaimed prophets, aura readers, seance conductors, New Age advocates, guru adherents, self-proclaimed reincarnators and the like are intelligent, honest, credible and reliable individuals worthy of being referenced by him (a so-called “scholar” and “academic” not given to lunatic fringe or superstitious beliefs)! To Date: Robert Priddy adamantly refuses to say one word about his promotion and endorsement of these "lunatic fringe" (Priddy's favorite slur) individuals.

Robert Priddy was also a promoter of LSD and eulogized his own LSD-induced hallucinations for well over 30+ years! See:

  1. Robert Priddy’s Removal Of Biographical Data From Personal Website

  2. Robert Priddy’s Biographical Suppression

  3. Robert Priddy’s “The Psychedelic Experience” (or Archive 01)

  4. Robert Priddy’s “Truth, Being And Bliss” (or Archive 01)

  5. Robert Priddy’s “A Vision Of Cosmic Energy” (or Archive 01)

  6. Robert Priddy’s 30+ Year Glorification Of LSD

And to top it all off, Robert Priddy believes (even to this day, after his defection) that Sathya Sai Baba possesses genuine paranormal powers.
Robert Priddy: “Nonetheless, it will surely surprise some that I am still almost certain - on the basis of extended personal observation - that Sathya Sai Baba can and does carry out apports, which therefore can appear as materialisations from nothing.”

Apports are said to be physical objects in existence that are dematerialized from one location and rematerialized to another.
Robert Priddy: “Some of what I experienced of SSB’s extraordinary and positive powers through many years is undeniable, even after the most rigorous skeptical investigations, and I do not regard him as any ordinary human being. I have simply had to realize that his actions in the worldly and human sphere are not infallible and are not always setting a perfect example for others.”

Robert Priddy believes that Sathya Sai Baba possesses genuine paranormal powers because the Guru cured him of a debilitating and chronic neck and spinal problem that no one else could cure and whose symptoms no doctor could alleviate. Robert Priddy claimed that Sathya Sai Baba cured him through a series of “dream-operations” that resulted in a literal and physical transformation of his spine, which was supported by x-rays and the testimony of Mr. Kylie (“an osteopath and master of various other disciplines”).

Robert Priddy also claimed that Sathya Sai Baba freed his mother from chronic pain and that a small speck of Sathya Sai Baba’s vibuthi instantaneously cured his paralyzed cat when it suffered from what appeared to be a stroke.

Robert Priddy tries to make the case that Sathya Sai Baba:

  • Is both a fraud and genuine.

  • Both can materialize objects and fakes materializations.

  • Both can cure diseases but really can’t cure diseases.

Trying to pass himself off as an intellectual who currently holds rationalistic beliefs, Robert Priddy miserably fails to explain away the enigma of Sathya Sai Baba. Instead, Robert Priddy appears very confused, conflicted and non-intelligent and ends up sticking his foot further into his mouth with his never-ending and very amusing equivocations.

Consequently, NitwitNastik is promoting superstition and lunatic fringe beliefs by holding hands and associating himself with true believer Robert Priddy. Of course, I submitted a comment to NitWitNastik's blog revealing these facts but he did not publish it and instead chose to protect Robert Priddy.

How ironic: Robert Priddy protected and promoted by an "amateur" and a nitwit! A double whammy.

Idi Amin, India And Gurus

Robert Priddy & Barry Pittard’s Sleaze Campaigns Against Sathya Sai Baba:
It should come as no surprise that the ex-devotees and “sleaze extraordinaires”, Robert Priddy & Barry Pittard, published even more complete disinformation about Sathya Sai Baba and Idi Amin on their Anti-Sai Wordpress blogs and Anti-Sai websites.

Facts About Sathya Sai Baba's Brief Encounter With Idi Amin:
It is a fact that Sathya Sai Baba visited East Africa for 14 days in 1968 mostly due to the prayers and persistence of the Sai devotee Dr. Chotabhai G. Patel of Kampala, Uganda.

Because Dr. Patel was the personal doctor for Idi Amin, he was able to secure escorts and general security at various public meetings where numerous high-ranking officials and vast crowds gathered for the darshan of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The security helped mobilize and control the massive crowds and ensured that Sathya Sai Baba and his contingent were allowed to travel to various places in Africa without incident. About Sathya Sai Baba’s trip to Uganda, Narayana Kasturi (a personal aide to the guru who accompanied him on the trip) wrote in Sathyam Sivam Sundaram:
N. Kasturi: Baba's Presence at Kampala was utilized by many for receiving blessings and counsel. The High Commissioner of India, Shri K.P.R. Singh, the Chief of Staff of the Uganda Army, General Idi Amin, the Minister of Defense, Mr. Onama, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Ojira, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Bataringaya, the Inspector of Police, Mr. Oryema, and other African leaders met Him at Dr. Patel's residence and obtained a glimpse of the Glory of Baba. During His stay He addressed gatherings of lions and rotarians, doctors, businessmen, and members and workers of service organizations. He replied with His natural gentleness, sweetness and sense of humor, even intimate personal questions from those who participated. Towards the close of each of the meetings, He moved among the participants creating and distributing to those around Him portraits in enamel or gold, of Christ for the Christians, Guru Nanak for the Sikhs, Zarathustra for the Parsis, and of Himself for those who yearned for them. He spoke lovingly and for long to a group of students from Makrere University and stood amidst them, when they wanted a photograph with Him. (Reference)

Many people (including Idi Amin) posed for pictures with the illustrious guru from India. Robert Priddy (a conspiracist, fanatic and extremist) posted a known picture of Sathya Sai Baba with Idi Amin and maliciously and fraudulently claimed that Idi Amin was a “devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba and that Idi Amin had a picture of Sathya Sai Baba hanging on the wall of his residence.

First and foremost, Idi Amin posed with Sathya Sai Baba at the residence of Dr. Chotabhai G. Patel, hence the picture of the guru on the wall. The picture was not taken at Idi Amin’s residence as falsely claimed by Robert Priddy. About Robert Priddy’s absurd claim that Idi Amin was a “devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba, Robert Priddy has been unable to substantiate this blind assumption with any credible, verifiable or plausible references, sources or materials. Robert Priddy relies entirely on conspiracy.

  • At no time did Idi Amin declare himself a “devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba, nor are there any known statements, records or documents where Idi Amin publicly expressed devotion to Sathya Sai Baba.

  • Although Idi Amin was very vocal about his beliefs, there are no known statements, records or documents where Idi Amin made a single reference to Sathya Sai Baba or any Indian guru.

  • Idi Amin was Muslim, claimed his Muslim heritage, visited Mosques, encouraged Muslim organizations and openly professed himself a Muslim. Idi Amin even visited Muammar Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi in Libya. Once again, there are no known statements, records or documents where Idi Amin made any mention (directly, indirectly or otherwise) to any Indian Guru.

  • Idi Amin held contempt for Indians and expelled them from Uganda. If Idi Amin was truly “devoted” to an Indian Guru, why would he treat Indians so abhorrently?

  • Idi Amin expelled all Asians from Uganda as the result of instructions he claimed he received from God in a dream. Robert Priddy insinuated that the dream was given to Idi Amin by Sathya Sai Baba. If this were true, why are there no known statements, records or documents from Idi Amin praising Sathya Sai Baba as the “God” of his dream?

  • At no time after Sathya Sai Baba’s trip to Uganda did Idi Amin visit or have contact again with Sathya Sai Baba. There are no known meetings or correspondence between Idi Amin and Sathya Sai Baba besides their brief encounter in Africa in July 1968.

  • Sathya Sai Baba’s brief encounter with Idi Amin occurred in 1968, before Amin became a ruthless dictator and before Amin committed the atrocities attributed to him.

Consequently, when Robert Priddy alleged that Idi Amin was a “devotee” of Sathya Sai Baba, he lied. Robert Priddy’s unsupported claims reveal his fanatic and extremist mindset.

Sathya Sai Baba's Prophecy Regarding Idi Amin:
According to both Dr. Chotabhai G. Patel and Dr. D.J. Ghadia, Sathya Sai Baba told various devotees in 1968 that foreigners would be asked to leave Uganda in four years time and that they should relocate. In 1968, life in Uganda was very peaceful and very few people had reason to believe Sathya Sai Baba. Four years later, in 1972, Idi Amin ordered the expulsion of Asians from Uganda. Dr. D.J. Ghadia said in his book Sai Smaran that Dr. C.G. Patel told him that those who did not heed Sathya Sai Baba's words in 1968, only then came to realize the significance of his warning.

Robert Priddy Knew About Sathya Sai Baba’s Encounter With Idi Amin While A Sai Devotee:
Robert Priddy fully acknowledged that he was well aware of Sathya Sai Baba's visit to Uganda and Sathya Sai Baba's brief encounter with Idi Amin and said:
...One story about Sai Baba and Idi Amin circulated in the Sai movement during the near two decades when I was the national leader for Norway in the Sathya Sai Organisation...

When Robert Priddy was a Sai Devotee for 17-26 years, he did not see anything inappropriate or sinister about Sathya Sai Baba's visit to Uganda and his brief encounter with Idi Amin. After defecting from the Sai Movement, however, Robert Priddy would have us believe that Sathya Sai Baba supported a ruthless dictator, “lent himself to Idi Amin's extreme black supremacist stance”, had “secret meetings” with Idi Amin and that Idi Amin was a “devotee”. Needless to say, the most important question left unanswered is: Why was Robert Priddy devoted to Sathya Sai Baba for 17-26 years (even hailing the guru as God Incarnate and the Avatar of the Age) if Sathya Sai Baba truly supported Idi Amin? After all, Robert Priddy studied Sathya Sai Baba's life and teachings to such an extent, he egotistically boasted that no one could better his knowledge about Sathya Sai Baba. Robert Priddy said:
“I knew his own words extremely well from my more intensive 20-year study and constant detailed indexing of his discourses, and I never happened across anyone in the Sai movement during 20 years who could better my knowledge of his actual words and teaching...”

This statement is very revealing and shows how Robert Priddy's alleged devotion to Sathya Sai Baba was actually some sort of egotistical competition in which he viewed himself as intellectually superior to all others. Robert Priddy actually believed that he alone was an expert when it came to Sathya Sai Baba's “actual words and teachings” although he could not read, write or understand Telugu (Sathya Sai Baba's native language)! Talk about delusions grandeur and self-importance!

About Sathya Sai Baba's teachings, Robert Priddy said in Chapter 22 of his Pro-Sai book Source Of The Dream:
“No one to my knowledge gives such directly simple, yet deceptively deep and subtle, answers to the most enigmatic of questions, nor does so in more straightforward and powerfully-convincing ways than does Baba…No spiritually-interested person who reads Sai discourses or writings can fail to be impressed by the clarity and simplicity of these teachings, which bear comparison with any known higher spiritual teaching...Some insights surpass those to be found in any scripture or comparable work known, at least, to the present writer...”

A rock-solid endorsement to the impressive and striking power of Sathya Sai Baba’s teaching by the self-professed expert who “never happened across anyone in the Sai movement during 20 years who could better his knowledge of Sathya Sai Baba’s actual words and teaching”!

Robert Priddy also loves to bash Sai Devotees as being gullible, naive, stupid, brainwashed, unconvincing, dummylike, egotistical, blind, superstitious, childish, etc. (the list of slurs goes on and on). Of course, the amusing ramification to these accusations against Sai Devotees is that Robert Priddy (the supreme Sai devotee who knew Sathya Sai Baba’s actual words and teaching better than everyone else) must have possessed all these negative qualities when he was a gullible, naive, stupid, brainwashed, unconvincing, dummylike, egotistical, blind, superstitious and childish Sai Devotee for 17-26 years!

Professor G Venktaraman's Reasonable Comments About Idi Amin:
Venkataraman: Many are the slanted items planted in the article that I am referring to. Here is an example. It is stated that Sai Baba gives interviews to major criminals like Idi Amin of Uganda. Consider the facts. In 1968, Swami went to East Africa. He flew from Bombay into Nairobi in Kenya.

He hardly spent any time there because His destination was Kampala in Uganda where He went because of persistent invitations from a devotee [now no more] named Dr. Patel. As you might be aware, Kampala is the capital city of Uganda, and the country extended the courtesy of providing security escort and various arrangements needed at public meetings and so forth. The local host Dr. Patel suggested that it would be in the fitness of things if Swami visited Idi Amin and blessed him; which Swami then did. Why should anyone read more into that?

Idi Amin was no doubt a controversial personality, thanks to his coming down heavily on people who he thought exploited the natives. By the way, the local Indian community was one of the worst affected. That said, let us remember that Idi Amin was also the Head of State at that time. Good, bad or indifferent, various governments of the world had diplomatic relationship with him. Where diplomacy is involved, one cannot always act in a judgmental way; instead, one does that which might help in smoothening matters.

Did not Neville Chamberlin go to Munich to meet Hitler? Did not Roosevelt meet Stalin in Yalta at the height of World War II? Did not Harry Truman later meet that same Stalin in Tehran? Did not Richard Nixon go to Peking [now Beijing] and meet Mao? The fact that Swami met Idi Amin despite the latter’s hostility to the Indian community speaks for itself. By the way, our critic seems to be unaware of the fact that when he was deposed, Idi Amin, a Muslim, sought refuge in Saudi Arabia where he finally died after many years. If Swami was anti-Muslim, why would he meet Idi Amin?

Pictures Of Idi Amin With Other Personalities:

The pictures above (click to enlarge) show:

  • Idi Amin joking around with Ian Wooldrige, a famous British sports journalist.

  • Idi Amin shaking hands with Josip Broz Tito, the popular leader of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

  • Idi Amin with the popular former King of Saudi Arabia, Faisal ibn Abdul Aziz Al Saud.

  • Idi Amin smiling and posing with Janani Jakaliya Luwum (an Archbishop of the Church of Uganda). In 1977 Idi Amin had him murdered.

  • Idi Amin laughing and sharing an intimate moment with Mohamed Amin, a popular photojournalist.

  • James Callaghan (former Prime Minister Of The United Kingdom) standing beside the smiling President Idi Amin and his son Mwanga on 12th April 1979.

What would conspiracist Robert Priddy infer from these photographs? That all these people supported the ruthless dictator Idi Amin and “lent themselves to Idi Amin's extreme black supremacist stance”? Using Robert Priddy's logic (illogic) against Sathya Sai Baba, the answer is “yes”.

Robert Priddy, Sathya Sai Baba & Idi Amin: In Conclusion:
Since Robert Priddy sets the standard of “guilt through association”, then one must conclude that Robert Priddy was a promoter and supporter of Idi Amin because of his direct 17-26 year association with Sathya Sai Baba, for whom he professed "uncompromising devotion". Robert Priddy sets the standard and implicates himself in the process.

Robert Priddy also gave a vocal endorsement to a fraudulent composite image of Sathya Sai Baba holding hands with Idi Amin (which was created by Reinier Van Der Sandt). Although Robert Priddy attempted to justify the creation of that composite image, he wholly ignored how the Indian Skeptic published Reinier’s fraudulent picture in their magazine and attempted to pass it off as an authentic picture. See: Sathya Sai Baba And The Idi Amin Picture.

And to top it all off, Robert Priddy was a promoter of LSD for over 30+ years (Refs: 01 - 02) and openly endorses various psychics, guru promoters and trance mediums even though he continually attempts to con the general public into thinking he is rational, skeptical and scientific.

Critic's Bomb Arguments Explode In Their Faces

Critic's Bomb Arguments Explode In Their Faces

Robert Priddy (a caustic critic of Sathya Sai Baba) recently published a blogged article in which he castigated the saibabaofindia.com website for deleting a quote allegedly taken from Sathya Sai Baba’s convocation discourse. To bolster his claim, Robert Priddy shrieked that he screen-captured the saibabaofindia webpage before the quote was deleted. Robert Priddy said:
robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2008/12/05/saibabaofindia-woke-up-and-cut-out-the-huge-blunder/
Typical of the cover-up of all Sai believers, and as I predicted on this blog site some days ago - saibabaoindia.com has also removed their web page in which they rashly posted what Sai Baba said only days before the Mumbai terror attacks. (The have reposted the Convocation address without the blunder on another URL. What a disinforming propaganda website!) The original was at link, and the crucial part was captured on screen before it was deleted (see on right).

The offending text, which may well have influenced the blind devotee, former Union Minister of Home Affairs Shivaj Patil, to take it easy on the terror threat- was:-

“India is the only place where people are not worried about any attacks. In America , Germany and other countries, they cant eat well or sleep well. There is fear of bombs always in those countries. But in India, there is no fear of bombs. India will never have any such attacks.” Sathya Sai Baba 22-10-2008

Since Robert Priddy believes it is OKAY to screen-capture webpages to other websites (and does not see it as an issue of infringment), I am providing the following screen-capture to his absurd article that was posted on his Anti-Sai WordPress blog:

Since Robert Priddy is a proven pathological prevaricator, I decided to re-check his alleged “scholarly” claim for myself.

  • First and foremost, Robert Priddy lied when he said the quote was deleted from the saibabaofindia website. It was not deleted, is still available (Ref) and I even obtained a recent screen-capture myself.

  • Secondly, the convocation discourse was delivered on November 22nd 2008, not October 22nd 2008 as erroneously and falsely claimed by Robert Priddy.

  • Thirdly, Robert Priddy misquoted the original post and said “India is the only place where people are not worried about any attacks…” instead of saying Talking about India Swami said, India is the only place where people are not worried about any attacks…” (which would have revealed that the quote was summarized by a Sai Devotee and was not an official translation).

  • Lastly, the quote in question (which was obtained from memory by a Sai Devotee in the crowd) did not come from the official discourse, was not published on an official Sathya Sai website and was not even a full translation to the full discourse (it was simply a personal summation recollected from memory)! Therefore Robert Priddy lied again when he attributed the quote directly to Sathya Sai Baba.

Barry Pittard, Brian Steel and Robert Priddy have written idiotic blogged posts claiming that Sathya Sai Baba said out of his own mouth that India had “no fear of bombs” just a week before the Mumbai Terror Attacks. Needless to say, no “bombs” fell on India during the Mumbai Terror Attacks and the official discourse (published the same day it was delivered) made no mention to bombs whatsoever.
Therefore, critic’s cannot say with any certainty that Sathya Sai Baba made that claim out of his own mouth although they directly attributed the “bomb” quote to Sathya Sai Baba as if they were citing an official translation taken from an official Sathya Sai website. The quote in question did not come from the official translation, nor did it come from an official Sathya Sai website.

Let us take a look at the quote in question (recollected from memory) made by a Sai Devotee on the saibabaofindia Yahoo Group:
Yahoo Group Quote: “…Talking about India Swami said, India is the only place where people are not worried about any attacks. In America , Germany and other countries, they can’t eat well or sleep well. There is fear of bombs always in those countries. But in India , there is no fear of bombs. India will never have any such attacks…” (Ref)

Even if one were to accept this summation as true, the context to the quote is quite clear:

  • The weapons in question are “bombs”.

  • The “bombs” in question are feared by America, Germany and other countries (indicating nuclear bombs).

  • India will not be attacked by these “bombs”, which are feared by other countries.

Needless to say, no “bombs” (which are feared by other countries) were dropped on India during the Mumbai terror attacks, hence the idiocy of critic’s strawman arguments and extreme, absurd and fanatic misrepresentations.

Therefore, the only “disinforming propaganda websites” are the ones belonging to Barry Pittard, Brian Steel and Robert Priddy. Far be it for Robert Priddy to call others “blind devotees” when he was a “blind devotee” for 17-26 years and even hailed Sai Baba as the Avatar of the Age and God Incarnate! The more Robert Priddy attacks Sai Devotees for their “stupidity”, “blindness”, “gullibility”, “naivete”, etc., the stronger he implicates himself as having possessed these qualities for decades.

Ridiculous 'Tantric Corpse Eating' Allegations

SaiBaba-Invigilator Blog Alleges Sathya Sai Baba Promotes “Tantric Corpse Eating”
Critics and Ex-Devotees have become so desperate in their smear and defamation campaigns against Sathya Sai Baba, they are now claiming that the guru is a promoter of black magic, tantra and tantric corpse eating!

The anonymous Anti-Sai blog promoting this rubbish is the saibaba-invigilator, which is specific to Sathya Sai Baba and whose objective is stated as:
Sathya Sai Baba - The Truth A blog for collecting breaking news, opinions and other materials concerning Sathya Sai Baba which reveal little-known facts and the concealed truth about his works, acts and words.”

Needless to say, the saibaba-invigilator blog is heavily referenced, linked to and promoted by ex-devotees (including Reinier Van Der Sandt, Sanjay Dadlani, Barry Pittard, Brian Steel and Robert Priddy). Ex-devotees openly endorse and associate themselves with the sleaze, slime and extremist views disseminated by the saibaba-invigilator blog.

Relevant Text Extract:
saibaba-invigilator.blogspot.com/2009/01/tantric-corpse-eating-in-india.html
“The traditions of Tantrism in India vary from relatively harmless theological speculations to some of the vilest practices. Closely related to black magic and witchcraft, various Tantric superstitions infuse much of Indian religious thought among the less sophisticated masses. Such matters are regularly exposed by the Indian Skeptic magazine (Indian rationalists).

It is of note that the widely-worshipped guru, supposed avatar Sathya Sai Baba, who has many followers among the top Indian elite, believes in black magic and promotes Tantric ideas along with many other Indian doctrines!“

Of course, the saibaba-invigilator blog could not provide a single credible or verifiable citation or reference to support their preposterous claim that Sathya Sai Baba promotes “Tantric Corpse Eating”. The only references the saibaba-invigilator blog provided were scans to four articles published by the Indian Skeptic tabloid, which did not make a single reference to Sathya Sai Baba (either directly, indirectly or otherwise). The complete texts to these four articles are as follows:
Tantrik held for eating corpse - Deccan Herald - 11.4.2006 - A tantrik and his disciple were arrested in Jaunpur in UP on Monday for digging up the body of an 18 - month - old boy and eating it to attain “supernatural powers,” reports PTI. The two had admitted to exhuming the body and consuming it after cutting off the head in order to attain supernatural powers. The head of the child, who had died a week earlier due to some illness, was found lying near the grave. (Reference)

Blind faith Witch doctor drives family out of village - Deccan Herald - 6.9.2006 - KOLKATA, DHNS: A witch doctor proposed and the villagers did not oppose. Consequently, an entire family of 15 in a village not too far from here was hounded out of their home on suspicion that they were practising witchcraft and causing the deaths of humans and livestock. The police, who had initially offered them shelter at a local government office, on Tuesday asked the 65-year-old Haridasi Sardar and her family of ‘witches’ living in Nadia district to move elsewhere. According to reports, Sardar, her four sons their wives and six children, all residents of Balaighata village, were charged with practising black magic and casting a spell in the village, resulting in the deaths of several people and livestock. The witch doctor, hired by the villagers to probe the deaths, ordered their immediate expulsion from the village. “We are engaged at present in talks with the village administration for some alternative (to evicting the family),” said Nadia Additional Superintendent of Police Subrata Mitra. The police have already tried twice to get them to be allowed back into their village, but have failed. (Reference)

Suspected witch killed by mob - Deccan Herald - 7.7.2006 - RANCHI: Accusing a woman of practicing voodoo, a mob killed a 50 year - old woman Bigalahi Devi with sharp edged weapon at Sadma village in Ranchi district on Wednesday evening. Confirming the incident, Ranchi Superintendent of Police (Rural) Upendra Kumar said six persons including a woman have been arrested in this connection. The arrest was made on the basis an FIR lodged with Ormanjhi police station. Earlier on Tuesday, a woman, Patiya Devi was paraded through the main thoroughfare of Alankera village in Gumla district and forced to consume human excreta for, what the villagers alleged, practicing black magic and causing the death of 14 year - old girl. Sources in the police said that irked by the death of two children of the villagers, a mob on Wednesday evening barged into the house of Bigalahi Devi and killed her. The villagers suspected Bigalahi Devi to be indulged in practice of black magic. (Reference)

“Ghost’s mobile” haunts police - Deccan Herald - 11.7.2006 - RANCHI: Priya Dubey,Sperintendent of Tata Nagar (Railway) Police, faces a strange problem these days. She is being “haunted” by a rumour about a ghost. “Ab tak takariban 100, na jane kitne aur aate (Till now, it is around 100; don’t know how many more will come),” she wonders as she keeps count of the number of calls she received on her mobile, asking whether it is a “ghost number”. Lodging a first information report, Ms Dubey stated that some people spread a rumour that her cell phone (9431117171) was a ghost’s number and as a result, she had been receiving a number of calls from the curious public. The Jamshedpur police have prepared a list of about 100 errant callers and they are being summoned for interrogation routinely. The incoming facility to the aforementioned number has been discontinued. Priya Dubey does not know how the rumour spread. “But whoever is playing prank will not be spared,” the police officer said. Among the many callers, 12 year - old Neha Afroon in the course of interrogation said she was just trying out the “ghost number” as everyone in her locality said the number costs no charge to the dialler. Sheer curiosity Another caller told the police that he dialled the number out of sheer curiosity as he had missed a similar chance before. Sometime ago, a local daily carried a report about a mobile phone being carried by a ghost in some other state. “That time too, I had tried the number but it was switched off. But as the rumour spread again, I did not want to miss the opportunity,” he said. (Reference)

“Tantra” - “Tantrism” - “Tantric Corpse Eating” - In Conclusion:
In a nutshell, critics are out of touch with reality and have no moral compass. Critics are (as many have observed throughout the years) a bunch of angry loons and extremists whose only flair is in their nostrils. Although critics love to deride others as belonging to the “lunatic fringe” seen in cults, ashrams and religious movements (because of perceived “superstitious” and/or “spiritual” beliefs), they wholly ignore the members of their own group who hold similar beliefs. The propaganda published by the saibaba-invigilator blog would have others believe that Sathya Sai Baba is a promoter of black magic, tantra and trantric corpse eating. The amusing ramification of this argument is that former followers of Sai Baba (many who were faithful devotees for decades) must have engaged in black magic, tantra and tantric corpse eating! Who, among Ex-Devotees, engaged in black magic, tantra and tantric corpse eating while following Sathya Sai Baba? That’s the big question the saibaba-invigilator blog actually poses to its readers but fails to answer.

Despite negative media attention, not even one critical media agency or journalist has ever insinuated that Sathya Sai Baba is a promoter of black magic, tantra or tantric corpse eating. Even India’s sensationalistic media won’t venture into the gutter in which critics wallow.

Fake Picture Of Sathya Sai Baba With Idi Amin

Fake Picture Of Sathya Sai Baba With Idi Amin

On the ExBaba Domain, a fake picture of Sathya Sai Baba holding hands with Idi Amin was created and published by Reinier Van Der Sandt (a caustic critic and defamer of the guru):

Although critics and ex-devotees continually boast how "honest", "credible" and "non-vindictive" they are, their actions speak volumes for them to the contrary. The truth of the matter is that critics of Sathya Sai Baba are thoroughly dishonest, non-credible and vindictive individuals who continually attempt to con the general public with their viperine scribbings, fake and/or sexually deviant composite images and unsubstantiated accusations.

Reinier Van Der Sandt's fake picture of Sathya Sai Baba holding hands with Idi Amin was published in Basava Premanand's Indian Sceptic tabloid. Reinier's fake picture was skewed, air-brushed and made black & white by the Indian Skeptic in a brazen attempt to deceive their readers into thinking that the fake picture was an original. See for yourself:

What was the end result of the Indian Skeptic's subterfuge? One of the Indian Skeptic's readers (by the name of Sean G. Stanton) submitted an entry to the ex-baba guestbook expressing shock and surprise that Sathya Sai Baba was literally holding hands with Idi Amin! Sean G. Stanton said:

Why does Sairadio never protest the pedophilia of Sai Baba. Why is Sairadio so enraged by the recent post by a person named Missy. The Indian Skeptic published in India with readers around the world a cover photograph on their magazine showing Sai Baba holding hands with the violent former dictator of Uganda Idi Amin. Everyone knows Idi Amin was known for his mass killings, extreme human rights abuses, the destruction of the Ugandan economy, and was even thought to be a cannibal.

He is known for the expulsion of Asians from Uganda. He was known to "love wealth more than human life" and terrorized his people. He was called the " Butcher of Uganda." Is this Sai Baba's idea of his own words " Love all Serve All Help Ever Hurt Never." ?

The post that the Sairadio wants to have removed is not to far fetched considering who some of Sai Baba's friends may be.

First and foremost, Sean G. Stanton incorrectly called RadioSai "SaiRadio" several times. Secondly, Sean G. Stanton blindly believed the fake picture was authentic and gullibly accepted it without question although he is apparently an admirer of rationality, logic, science and double-checking facts! Thirdly, Sean G. Stanton is obviously unaware that not even one parent has lodged a formal complaint, basic police complaint, public grievance or court case against Sathya Sai Baba in India for the alleged molestation of his/her child. When parents are not protesting against Sai Baba, why should RadioSai?

Strangely enough, an internet search for the name "Sean G. Stanton" turned up a result for a "Sean G. Stanton" (age 30 residing in Gorham, Maine) who was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol and attaching false plates to his car on 12/30/07. He received a $700 fine and a $150 fine (Ref).

One will notice how Reinier Van Der Sandt added the following clarification to Sean Stanton's post:
[NOTE by ExBaba admin: The photo is a constructed image to illustrate the closeness that did exist between Sathya Sai Baba and Idi Amin (reported by Dr. G. Venkataraman on RadioSai]

Needless to say, the Indian Sceptic tabloid did not say one word about the image being a composite or a fake picture. Nor did the Indian Skeptic publish the original composite created by Reiner Van Der Sandt. Rather, the Indian Skeptic took the fake picture and altered it in an attempt to deceive their readers into thinking it was genuine. They suceeded.

These are the types of gutter individuals who have misled so many people about Sathya Sai Baba for so many years. The truth is now out and everyone can see and verify it for him/her self.

Indian Skeptic And Rationalist Caught In A Bold Faced Lie

Indian Skeptic & Rationalist Basava Premanand Caught In A Bold Faced Lie
Basava Premanand (a fanatic atheist, rationalist and skeptic) ridiculously alleged the following about Sathya Sai Baba:
http://www.rfjvds.dds.nl/ex-baba/engels/murders/murdersbefore1993.html
Basava Premanand: “I have the records of more than a hundred persons destroyed by the Satya Sai Baba gang beginning with one Mr. Venkatamuni of Madres who was done away at Madurai in an air conditioned room and then after getting death certificates from doctors taken to Madras by Satya Sai Baba in his own car and cremated without giving any information to the police and thus hushing up the matter. Afterwards the doctors who gave the death certificates also succumbed to death. In these deaths the mode of operation is in five ways: 1. Death by car accidents; 2. Death by Heart failure; 3. Death by poisoning; 4. Death by hanging; 5. Death by drowning.”

Premanand’s Gutter Lie Refuted & Exposed By RadioSai
Mr. Venkatamuni’s son (Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni) has since come forward (at the request of RadioSai) and thoroughly refuted (on video) Premanand’s absurd and gutter lie that his father was “done away in Madurai”. Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni unequivocally stated that:

  1. His father was not murdered.

  2. His father died at Kodaikanal on June 13th 1966.

  3. Many people were present when his father died.

  4. No one suspected any foul play.

  5. His father’s funeral lasted 11 days with many family members present.

  6. There was no secrecy regarding his father’s death and funeral.

THE TESTIMONY OF MR. PRAVEEN, THE SON OF MR. VENKATAMUNI
Excerpts of a conversation between Mr. Praveen and Prof. G. Venkataraman

G. Venkataraman: This is from the article written by an Icelander now living in Sweden. He says a lot of horrible things. This is what he says: ‘In a bold style, Mr. Venkatamuni of Madras, India was killed at Madurai by ‘Sai Baba gang’ and then after getting death certificate from the doctors, taken to Madras by Sathya Sai Baba in his own car and cremated without giving any information to the police, and thus hushing up the matter. Afterwards, the doctors who gave the certificates also succumbed to death. The narration can be read in August 1993 volume of the ‘Indian Skeptic’. Now this is a very clever way of speaking. The first question to you is when did your father die? And please tell us how he died.

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: My father breathed his last on Swami’s lap on June 13, 1966. At that time, somewhere around May, Swami had come to Chennai en-route to Kodaikanal (then, Madras) and told my mother: “I am taking Venkatamuni with me, have you any objection?” She said: ‘No Swami, I have no objection, You can take him to Kodaikanal’. So, we left in a fleet of cars. I was a part of the entourage along with Mr. Goganeni Venkateswara Rao, Mr. Kamavadhani, Mr. Chini Rao – the third son of Mrs. Anjali Devi, the film actress, Mr. Dasaratharama Reddy and a few others. So, we were all there and I was about 14-15 years old at that time. We all went to Kodai Kanal and stayed in the guest house of Mr. Narasimhachary, who was a long-standing devotee of Bhagavan. It was situated right on the lake.

We stayed there for about 10-15 days and Swami used to go round the lake on a walk and we used to accompany Him. Lots of people used to come and look at Him and return. This was in May-June 1966. And a couple of occasions, we went boating in the lake too. Few used to come to see Swami at that time. He was very free and I was given the duty of carrying His tambulam (beetle leaf) box. I did not know how to prepare it but was given the duty to carry it all along wherever Swami went.

So we were there for about 10-15 days and after that we began to return. We left Kodai Kanal and reached Madurai, where the organization had organized a public meeting for Bhagavan. We stayed in Mr. Subramanyam Chettiar’s house in Satya Sai Nagar. It was very hot, being June, and the public program with a Divine discourse was organised. Swami was supposed to leave for Brindavan the next day by car. My father and I were supposed to return to Madras. So, Swami was asking us if we would like to accompany Him to Brindavan, but my father said that it was already 15 days since he had come and he had a lot of work to attend to at his office. So, he asked to permit him to go to Madras first, and then visit Brindavan.

We were all staying in Mr. Chettiar’s house. We had booked tickets to return to Madras by train for June 14. And Swami was to leave on the morning of June 15. On June 13 was scheduled Swami’s discourse. We were all staying with Swami and had dinner with Him on the 13th. Being summer, Swami suggested, “Why don’t we have beds in the open terrace?” Swami was in His room and we were all sleeping in the open terrace. We finished dinner and returned to His room, and we were sitting and discussing about Swami’s discourse and Him on the terrace.

Suddenly, Swami walked onto the terrace and we all stood up. Swami asked all of us to sit down. Then, He went and sat on the bed of my father, which was on the floor. So, father starting getting up as a mark to respect for Swami, and he said, ‘Swami, I am feeling very giddy; I am going to faint’. So, Swami immediately stood up, caught hold of him and made him sit down slowly saying: “Venkatamuni, everything will be alright. Don’t worry, I am here”. And at the same time, he had a bout of breathing trouble.

We were all there watching the entire incident, about 10-15 people, including the members of the Chettiar family. So, immediately, Swami made him sit on the bed and He too sat beside him. Swami then put my father’s head onto His lap (though my father was reluctant), and just then he breathed his last in Swami’s lap.

We were all simply watching. We thought he has fainted as he was a diabetic. I was a kid then and did not know much about the right medication in such situations. A doctor was summoned who confirmed his death. We were all taken aback; we did not know what to do. Swami took control of the entire proceedings and said that we were leaving to Madras the same night. So, police permission was obtained. I was told a doctor’s death certificate was also obtained. I am not able to recall who the doctor was. But the doctor’s certificate and the police certificate were surely obtained.

The documents were perfect. And the same night, maybe within 1 hour, we all left to Madras along with the body. I was sitting next to Swami. Mr. Raja Reddy was also there driving the car. Father’s body was coming in a separate car behind Swami’s. We reached Madras early the next morning. My elder brother and my mother, at that time, had gone to Vijayawada for a wedding. So, they were returning the same day. They got to know that Swami is coming to Madras and had also got some unclear news about my father merging with Swami. We drove straight to our house.

Swami stayed at Madras for those 11 days in Mr. Venkateswara Rao’s house. He was there until the last ceremony was completed. He used to come to our house everyday and give us talks, encouraging us all the time. He said that my father had merged in Him. He affirmed that there was no punarjanma (re-birth) for my father. That was the first time somebody merged in Swami while on His lap.

Everyday harikatha (singing of God’s glory) was held for all the 11 days in the compound of our house. Most of our closest relatives who were also present at that time were against Swami. Though, now everyone has come into Swami’s fold. Even though they were against Swami at that time, they had to attend the rituals for the eleven days. After everything was over, Swami came and blessed my mother and us, and then left for Brindavan.

G. Venkataraman: Pardon me for asking this. But because all sorts of unfounded allegations have been made, I have to ask you this. Did your relatives, who did not believe in Swami, have any suspicion of any foul-play in all this?

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: No, Sir. My relatives did not cast any ill-feeling, or uttered even a single adverse word about the whole incident.

G. Venkataraman: So, they thought that his death was natural, as anyway, he was a diabetic. How old was he at the time of his death?

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: He was 55.

G. Venkataraman: So, there was no question of even a trace of any such suspicion by anyone, including your mother.

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: Absolutely none, sir. Nobody had any suspicion, whatsoever.

G. Venkataraman: Were you at any time conscious of the fact that certain things have been said against Swami about this incident? Or, are you surprised to hear what I told you just now?

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: This is news to me. I am hearing about this for the first time.

G. Venkataraman: You know, there are reasons, why I am asking you all this. First, you told me that your father passed away in 1966. The man who is making the allegation is quoting an article that was published in the ‘Indian Skeptic’ in August 1993. I am wondering, who is this man who came and investigated it? Did any of them come and ask you about anything?

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: None so far. Nobody has approached me or my family members.

G. Venkataraman: And still, they have written this. Here is a very strange sentence which gives a hint of how things are done. The person writes that ‘afterwards, the doctors who gave the death certificate also succumbed to death’. Everybody dies... The way it is written looks as something criminal was done to get rid of someone. You know, technically all that the sentence says is that the doctor is going to die. Everybody is going to die, for that matter. But the context in which it is written, is somewhat disturbing. The fact is that in 1993, for whatever reason, ‘Indian Skeptic’ – I had never heard of this journal before - writes an article and they don’t even bother to verify facts and this is quoted as the ‘holy truth’.

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: Even I have not heard about this journal till date.

G. Venkataraman: Now, let us spend the rest of the time the way it should be done. This is entirely for the record. First of all, let me start with the recall of what Swami said in 2006 in Trayee. You tell us the story after giving the background to it.

Mr. Praveen Venkatamuni: Swami gave a talk during a Trayee session in Brindavan on Sunday, June 4, 2006. And this has been penned down by my son who was doing his B.Com in Brindavan. This is the incident narrated by Swami. The note goes as below:
Swami had called for a Trayee Session. I was lucky to be seated in the first row and was doubly blessed in getting the golden opportunity of pressing the Divine Lotus Feet of our Lord. As the session went on, Swami suddenly looked at me and said: “Whenever I visited Madras, I stayed in the house of Venkatamuni, which is in 2nd Cross…”. He again looked at me when I said, it was Surya Rao Road, to which Swami said “Yes”. Swami narrated that the house was filled with people when He gave darshan. Swami continued to say that He asked Susheelamma (Venkatamuni’s wife) whether Venkatamuni should be with her or be with Swami; and she had said that he should be only with Swami.

Then Swami narrated that he had taken him to Kodai Kanal and once they returned, they stayed in Madurai. All were seated, when suddenly Venkatamuni told Swami that he was feeling giddy. Swami asked him to come to Him. Venkatamuni came to Swami, held His Lotus Feet and breathed his last while still holding onto His Lotus Feet. The second son of Venkatamuni who was just 15 years old was present when this happened. He had not even cried on seeing that his father was no more. He said that when Swami is with him, he does not need anything else.

Swami sat by his side in the car all the way to Madras. Even Susheelamma did not weep as she was sure that her husband had attained mukti (liberation) by breathing his last at the Lotus Feet. She told Swami what else she can pray for? Swami remarked that after Subbamma, it was Susheelamma who used to cook food for Him. She used to pack and bring even the curry leaves from Madras for cooking. Once Swami asked her as to why she was straining herself? Then she sent the cook who was in their house to cook food for Swami. His name was Vishwanath. She told Swami that he would do the cooking for Swami. Even when she was 80 years old, she would climb the stairs up and down to serve Swami.

Once she told Me that her children should be married. She had two sons and one daughter. Swami said that He performed the marriage of her first son, who has a son and a daughter. The son studied at Puttaparthi and Swami got him married too. He is now in Delhi employed in a reputed company. Swami said that He also performed the marriage of the daughter in Puttaparthi. He continued further saying that He performed the marriage of the second son of Sushelamma (i.e., myself) too.

He asked me to stand up so that all could see me and asked to be seated. Then, Swami said that I have a brother and all members of my family pray to Swami for mukti (liberation) and all of them listen to the words of Swami. If these boys go out, they will get good positions, but they all obey the words of Swami, and they are all very happy. Whoever listens to the words of Swami will always be happy. Swami pointed out to me and said that while joining this college, my mother told me not to join any groups and should always think of Swami, do service and behave well.

Then He asked, ‘Did she not tell you?’ I nodded my head. And then, Swami said that yesterday, my mother had come to Brindavan and asked Him how her son was doing. Swami told her that he was doing well and there is nothing to worry. Then Swami said that my father had so much confidence in God even from his tender age. Swami continued by saying that all should have faith in God. He said that nobody was as devoted to Him as Sushelamma. Her devotion to Swami had no limits; she was an example of a great devotee.

Swami mentioned about each and every member of our family and how each of them listens and obeys His words with faith and love. He said that it requires the ‘punyam’ (good fortune) of countless previous births to be with Swami. Swami has set our family as an example for others. He spoke continuously without a break or interruption. Swami was very happy when He spoke about our family. And at the end He gave a big smile.

This is how he has recorded the talk.

Therefore, Basava Premanand blatantly lied about Mr. Venkatamuni. It is apparent that Basava Premanand received inaccurate and embellished information regarding the death of Mr. Venkatamuni. Instead of researching and verifying facts, Basava Premanand blindly believed and publicly published wholly inaccurate information about Venkatamuni's death as the irrefutable truth.

Basava Premanand cannot provide a scintilla of credible or verifiable evidence to back up his absurd claims that Mr. Venkatamuni was murdered and that the doctors who issued his death certificate were similarly murdered. Basava Premanand is notorious for his frenzied, childish and laughable conspiracy theories against Sathya Sai Baba. Furthermore, Robert Priddy (one of the main spokespersons for the Anti-Sai Movement) widely dispersed Premanand’s gutter accusations about Venkatamuni on his Anti-Sai blog and Anti-Sai websites.

RadioSai’s rebuttal (obtaining a first-hand testimony from Venkatamuni’s son, recorded on video) is another elucidative example that exposes the gutter, smear, hate and defamation campaigns waged against Sathya Sai Baba by critics and ex-devotees.

Well done, RadioSai!
